The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art is proud to announce the next installment in its Spring 2012 Speaker Series: The Hidden World of Moths.  The Speaker Series is designed to increase awareness about a wide variety of environmentally and nature-related topics.

Join Seabrooke Leckie, co-author of the brand new Peterson Field Guide to Moths of Northeastern North America, at the Ned Smith Center as she shares with us the amazing hidden world of moths. Far from dull, these often beautiful nighttime insects come in a dazzling array of shapes and colors. In addition to introducing you to many of these marvelous creatures, Seabrooke will be available to answer questions about moths and sign copies of the new book. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

A special mini-exhibit of the Center’s Kopp Collections of Moths and Butterflies will be on display in the Center’s Seraph Education Room, located on the lower level.

Program is free to Ned Smith Center members and children under 12, $3 otherwise.  Pre-registration is suggested, but not required.
