The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum is celebrating our 10th Anniversary in 2013!   We’re planning a year packed full of special exhibits and events to celebrate this milestone.

Introducing, Two for $10 Tuesdays!   Every Tuesday during 2013, we’re offering 2 guests (ages 4 & older) admission for just $10 — half our regular admission price.   The AACA Museum is closed on January 1st for the New Year’s holiday so this program will being on Tuesday, January 8th and run through December 31, 2013.

Our first special exhibit for 2013 will be Porsche Style & Design coming January 25 – April 28th.   More than 20 Porsche road and race cars including 356, 911, 914, 904 as well as some more modern cars are expected as part of this fabulous exhibit.  View the very best of both air and water-cooled models and examples of prototypes.  As a special program in conjunction with this exhibit we’re featuring an evening with Karl Ludvigsen, the famed Porsche author, on Friday evening, April 19th.  Karl is a world renowned automotive author who last week won the coveted Dean Batchelor Award, the highest honor in automotive journalism for his book Porsche:  Origin of the Species.   This will be a special ticketed event with more details and tickets available in early 2013.

The British are coming!   A Welcome Invasion:  British Motorcycles In America is the next special exhibit planned for March 15 – October 17th.   A retrospective of the classic British motorcycles imported to America from 1940 through the 1970s, when the power, performance, chrome and color of the great English machines dominated American racetracks and streets!   Welcome Invasion focuses on the motorcycles as aesthetic object and material culture, and addresses the innovations, successes, and eventual implosion of the British motorcycle industry.

The AACA Museum annual car show is planned for Saturday, June 22nd and will include special entertainment and a barbecue to celebrate the 10th Anniversary with our many friends, members, volunteers, supporters and staff.   We’re also hard at work planning some special featured vehicles to be with us through the summer months.  We’re also looking forward to hosting several additional car shows and events on the Museum complex throughout the summer and fall.

The holiday season will again bring back our Kids from 1-92 holiday themed displays with model trains, dozens of decorated trees, and other surprises from mid- November through early January.  The decorations are sure to get you in the holiday spirit, our model train displays bring out the kid in everyone – there’s something for everyone, of any age, to enjoy.

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, a member of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900′s – 1970′s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.   The AACA Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is one of the nation’s newest and largest automotive museums.  Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles.  The AACA Museum is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Regular admission $10, seniors age 61 and older $9, juniors age 4-12 $7, children age 3 and under are FREE.  The Museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and select evening hours during the summer months.   For further information, please call 717-566-7100 or visit www.AACAMuseum.org.
