This Pennsylvania Filmmaker of the Year Nominee from The West Chester International Film Festival will also share experiences from more than a dozen film festivals his film, “Branches” screened in over the past year. A screenwriter, producer, teacher and speaker, Rick will share his adventures in the screen trade and answer your questions about breaking into the film industry from outside of Hollywood. The Short Film Showcase will feature:
BRANCHES – The journey of four friends in search of the perfect Christmas tree conveys a timeless message of friendship and features Narration by Daniel Stern (“Home Alone” and “The Wonder Years”) and a musical score by two-time Emmy winner, Michael Whalen. This 7-minute award winning film uses the backdrop of Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, Pennsylvania to tell its story.
CHASING FOREVER - A 17-minute drama about a single mother — who inspired a music superstar to write his biggest hit song — is forced to confront the heartbreak of her past as she bonds with her daughter over a concert by the star himself, who has a unique connection with both of them. The movie features Brody Hutzler (“Days of Our Lives”) and Stephanie Rae Anderson (“Two and a Half Men”).
CHEMISTRY – A 9-minute romantic comedy with a twist features Jenn Gotzon (“Frost/Nixon” and “Doonby”) and Ron Rogge (“Modern Family”). When Josh finally meets Katie, the girl of his dreams at a speed dating event, he knows that these five minutes could change more than just his evening. This film got 9 stars out of ten by IMBD moving ratings.
