Live at Rose Lehrman Announces 2013-14 Performance Lineup

The Live at Rose Lehrman (LARL) 2013-14 season offers a variety of professional shows, with a focus on dance, music and theatrical performances.

“We are pleased to announce that the Rose Lehrman Arts Center theatre was selected as a 2013 Harrisburg Magazine Readers’ Choice ‘Performance Hall,’” said Teri Guerrisi, director of the LARL artist series. The center is on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

The LARL 2013-14 season incorporates an international flair with the Wailin’ Jennys from Canada, Tango Fire from Argentina and Rhythm of the Dance from Ireland. Three strong theatre performances include Aquila Theatre in “Twelfth Night,” Neil Berg’s “101 Years of Broadway” and “The Fantasticks,” with a fresh steam-punk style. Dance offerings feature Hubbard Street 2 from Chicago, and Philadelphia hip-hop artists, Rennie Harris RHAW. Two unique performances in the lineup include The Hot Club of San Francisco, a gypsy jazz quintet performing in concert with the showing of three silent vintage films, and  Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music, a musical event for all, where audience members dress-up and sing the songs in an audience-participation style.
