HERSHEY GARDENS TO FEATURE MORE THAN 150 CARVED, ILLUMINATED PUMPKINS, LIVE PUMPKIN-CARVING DEMONSTRATIONS

Pumpkin Glow Offers Storytelling and Trick-or-Treating for Kids, Ages 12 and Under

More than 150 carved, illuminated pumpkins will be on display throughout Hershey Gardens at its annual Pumpkin Glow event, held October 18, 19, 25 and 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“The carved pumpkins and whimsical scarecrows—set among the Gardens’ fall displays—are really something to see,” said Jamie Shiffer, grounds and horticulture operations manager, Hershey Gardens. Shiffer added that the gardens will also feature hundreds of mums and a variety of gourds.

In addition to the carved pumpkins on display, visitors have the opportunity to view live pumpkin-carving demonstrations given by students from Lebanon County Career and Technical Center’s Culinary and Pastry Arts program. The students will also be selling baked goods; other fall menu items will also be available.

Children ages 12 and under are encouraged bring flashlights and come in costume. Children can wind their way throughout the lit Gardens, trick-or-treat and collect candy treats, donated by The Hershey Company, at eight stations along the path.

Pumpkin Glow is included in general admission. General admission is $10 for visitors ages 13-61, $9 for seniors (ages 62 and up), and $7.50 for juniors (ages 3-12); children ages 2 and under are free. For more information about Hershey Gardens, visit www.HersheyGardens.org or call 717-534-3492.
