Enjoy a fun evening of dinner and dancing, 50’s and 60’s style. Get out your poodle skirts and saddle shoes to win the “Best Dressed” contest. Grease back your hair and pose for pictures on a brand-new Harley-Davidson, available via raffle, courtesy Battlefield Harley-Davidson.
Classic cuisine includes cheeseburger sliders, an ice cream sundae bar and much more. Cash bar features root beer float cocktails.
Just as the Dells sang, “Oh What a Night,” and the Drifters invited you to “Dance with Me,” the Gettysburg Festival invites you to enjoy oldies tunes, trivia and even a “Hand Jive” contest with DJ Bob Mathers.
Tickets are $40 per person; $75 per couple, proceeds benefit the non-profit Gettysburg Festival.
This event features the 2012 Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob FXDB, a classic bobber motorcycle donated to Gettysburg Festival by Battlefield Harley-Davidson. Secure your chances to win this classic 1940’s-era cycle! The Festival is offering 3,000 raffle tickets to the public, with the winner announced during the Saturday, June 9 Gettysburg Festival event, “Blues, Beer & BBQ” at the Gettysburg Festival Main Stage at Gettysburg College. The cycle has a suggested manufacturer’s retail price of $12,999.
The Gettysburg Festival Sock Hop is the latest in a long line of unique Festival fundraiser events. Special thanks to Festival culinary partner, the Wyndham Gettysburg and Chef Claude Rodier, with oversight by former White House Chef Walter Scheib, the Festival’s Artistic Director for Culinary Events.
