Community Weekend at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum

Looking for a fun winter activity to get out of the house?  Visit a treasure in your own backyard.  The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum is offering the community a special $5 admission price (50% off our regular price) and special activities on January 19, 20 & 21.   Children 3 and under are always free.  The AACA Museum is celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year, so if you haven’t been here in a while, this is a great opportunity.
Cruise through time as you enjoy vintage vehicles from the early 1900′s through the 1970′s in our main gallery.   Each decade of vehicles is arranged to correspond to a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco complete with themed settings.  Our lower level gallery features The Museum of Bus Transportation collection of more than 10 full sized antique buses along with an original 1940′s Valentine Diner where visitors can learn diner trivia.   Special collection vehicles include Betty White’s Cadillac, Whitney Houston’s Rolls-Royce Limousine and the Lakeland Bus used in the movie “Forrest Gump.”  Other exhibit items include motorcycles, motor scooters and a collection of more than 100 different hood ornaments.
From January 19-21, guests can participate in our Museum wide scavenger hunt to locate your favorite “Cars” from the Disney-Pixar Cars movie that are hidden throughout the Museum – How many can you find?    Kids will love our interactive play area where they can create their own car then race it down a ramp, along with the interactive photo stop where “kids” of all ages can pretend to drive a vintage car or truck.

The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum, a member of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900′s – 1970′s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.   The AACA Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is one of the nation’s newest and largest automotive museums.  Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles.  The AACA Museum is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Regular admission $10, seniors age 61 and older $9, juniors age 4-12 $7, children age 3 and under are FREE.  Community Weekend admission will be $5.00 per person ages 4 & older.
