On Sunday, April 29th, the entire community is invited to join in celebrating Stuart Malina and Rose Lehrman Arts Center and Live at Rose Lehrman as this year’s honored recipients of Arts Awards 2012.
Sponsored by Theatre Harrisburg, Arts Awards is the Capital Region’s most prestigious annual recognition of one outstanding individual and one organization for distinguished service to the arts. Inspired by the Kennedy Center Awards, Arts Awards is a much-anticipated local tradition dotted with historic narrative, thoughtful tributes, dazzling live entertainment and even a few surprises.
“A committee of past honorees made the selections, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with their choices,” comments Samuel Kuba, executive director of Theatre Harrisburg.
“We’re planning an extremely elegant evening, replete with music, dance, laughter, and fabulous cuisine by The JDK Group. We urge the entire community to join us in saluting the 2012 winners of this coveted award. It is not an overstatement to say our arts community would not be what it is were it not for their extraordinary contributions.”
In fitting tribute to her family’s artistic legacy, Lois Lehrman Grass will be serving as Honorary Chair of Arts Award 2012 which will take place at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. After the ceremony, the evening will be capped off by a gala celebration at Strawberry Square.
