Prizes for the Adams County Arts Council’s 17th annual Recyclable Art Contest for students in grades K-12 were announced on April 21 at an awards ceremony at the Arts Education Center, 125 S. Washington St., Gettysburg. The contest was sponsored by Just Jennifer Gallery, Gettysburg, and coordinated by Arts Council volunteer Ann Walsh.
Best of Show went to Dominique Buxton of Bermudian Springs High School. People’s Choice went to Dustin Redding & Yosh Patel of Gettysburg High School.
Grades 9-12: 1st: Adam Cashman & Sarah Crane, Bermudian Springs High School; 2nd: Nick Penner, New Oxford High School; 3rd: Allie Mack, New Oxford High School; 4th: Alexis Staub, Bermudian Springs High School. Grades 6-8: 1st: Dorothy Marquet, Bermudian Springs Middle School; 2nd: Cody Leer, Bermudian Springs Middle School; 3rd: Autumn Selby, Bermudian Springs Middle School; 4th: Chastity Swope & Cassidy Stevenson, Bermudian Springs Middle School.
Grade 3-5: 1st: Hailey Lamo, Bermudian Springs; 2nd: Aleah Martin, Bermudian Springs; 3rd: Brandon Rivera, Bermudian Springs Elementary School; 4th: Ben Hines, James Gettys Elementary School. Grade K-2 winners, all Fairfield Elementary students: 1st: Sydney Miller; 2nd: Allison Colore; 3rd: Alex Montgomery; 4th: Nathan Shaw.
