Adams County Arts Council is 20 years old

It’s hard to believe the Adams County Arts Council is 20 years old! It seems like yesterday that a small grassroots group stepped out on faith to begin an organization that would become a regional leader in arts education. On June 1 ACAC will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a candlelight dinner at Sidney Willoughby Run. The evening will feature dinner music by local pianist Arlo Ehly and a live auction.

Live auction items include a week’s stay in Barbados from September 28-October 5, three days and two nights at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel for two, an All-Star Disney Family Vacation for four to Orlando for seven days and six nights, a trip to New York for four days and three nights at the New York Marriott Marquis that includes a Broadway Silver Entertainment package (Broadway show, sporting event or concert) and a heart pendant with yellow and white diamond accents set in 925 sterling silver donated by Zales. Randy Hilker will delight you with his humor and auctioning talents!

Tickets for this event are available on line at www.adamsarts.org or by calling 717-334-5006. The deadline for reservations is Monday, May 20. Each $100 ticket will include a free drink ticket, Hors d’Oeuvres, dinner, and a live auction. Prepared by Chef Neil Annis the menu selections will include mixed green salad or spring vegetable soup, crispy organic cold air chicken with creamy Anson Mills polenta with tomato fondue and lemon-olive jus, pan-roasted Atlantic salmon on coconut-lemongrass, crab chowder, or red wine braised beef short ribs with roasted garlic-chive potato puree and French green beans, as well as a selection of dessert items.

Plan to join ACAC on Saturday, June 1 from 6:30-9:30 pm at Sidney Willoughby Run, 730 Chambersburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA.
